The speed limit on most freeways in Ca while pulling a trailer is 55. My uncle pulls an enclosed trailer (electric brakes, etc) with a 4x4 Turbo Diesel Suburban. NEVER gotten a ticket, and racks up 100K+ miles/year. On his last visit to Ca, he got a ticket for going 65 while pulling a trailer. The signs on the road say "Trucks with Trailers - 55 mph'. That means ANY TRAILER, not just the big rigs. Don't get a ticket...drive 55 mph.
